Create a new page

Where can you create a new page?

A name, a sentence or two, and you're ready to edit. You can start a new page in three places:

  • From the ⋯ menu of the editing panel: New…, then Page in the dialog that asks what you want to create. This is the route you'll use most often; news items and events start here too.
  • From Settings: Content → Pages → New page.
  • From a URL that does not exist: if you're signed in and land on a 404 page, use Create this URL to create a page at that exact address.

If you want something similar to an existing page, use Make a copy… in the ⋯ menu. It creates a copy with all its blocks, ready for you to adapt. You can pick the copy's type too, so a news item or an event can become a page.

AI draft or blank page?

  1. Enter the page name, for example “Contact” or “Services”. This becomes the page title and is also used to create the URL, such as /services. If that URL is already taken, or would clash with a reserved address prefix (such as the one events use), Demona creates a unique one.
  2. Choose how to start:
    • Write it with AI: describe the page in one or two sentences, for example “About page for a small Budapest design studio that works with B2B SaaS founders”. AI plans the page structure, chooses suitable blocks and writes the first draft. This takes a few seconds; keep the window open while it works. Matching stock photos then arrive in the empty image slots on their own, even while the editor is open; you can replace them at any time.
    • Build it myself: start with a blank page containing only the title, then add blocks yourself.
  3. The new page opens in the editor, where you can change anything.

AI follows your website's voice profile, so the new page is written in the same overall style as the rest of the site. Learn more in AI settings: voice profile and Use AI in the editor.

A new page is public immediately. From the moment it is created, the page is available at its URL even if it is not in the menu yet. If you want time to build it before anyone sees it, switch it to draft in Page settings, then publish it when it's ready.

Add the page to the main menu

After creating a page, the editor asks whether you want to add it to the menu. You can set the menu label — the page name is used by default — and add it to the end of the main menu in one click. If you skip this step, you can add it later in Header and main navigation, where you can also reorder items or place them in a submenu.

Place the page in your site structure

In Page settings, you can choose a parent page. For example, a “Web development” page could sit under “Services”. The parent's URL then appears before the page URL, such as /services/web-development, and a Breadcrumb block can show the same path. Choosing a parent does not change the menu: navigation placement is still controlled separately in the menu settings.

If you later change the page URL, Demona creates an automatic redirect from the old address, and menu items update to point to the new one.
