AI settings: voice profile

What does the voice profile do?

It gives AI a consistent brief for how your brand should sound. Under Settings → System → AI, define your website's voice profile: a short description of the writing style you want. Demona includes that profile as context when supported AI features write or rewrite copy in the editor.

Save changes with Save voice profile.

Existing copy does not change automatically. The voice profile affects future AI generations. If you want existing pages rewritten in the updated style, run an AI rewrite on those pages or blocks in the editor.

Where does AI use the voice profile?

Across the editor's supported AI writing features.

Rewrite a block

When AI rewrites, shortens, expands or adjusts the tone of a selected block.

Rewrite a page

When you ask AI to change the copy across a full page in one action.

Continue a page

When AI suggests new blocks based on the content already on the page.

Create a page from an AI draft

When AI builds a first page draft from your short brief.

What is in the voice profile?

  • Voice summary: one or two sentences describing how the copy should sound. This is the most important field and is included directly in the AI instructions.
  • Voice keywords: comma-separated adjectives such as “thoughtful, friendly, concise”. You can add up to 20, each up to 60 characters.
  • Tone (optional): Warm, Direct, Playful, Formal or Editorial.
  • Text density (optional): Minimal, Balanced or Content-rich — guidance for how much copy AI should produce in each block.

The page also shows your original brief from website creation and the industry detected from it. These are shown for context and are not edited here. AI also receives the website name and tagline from Site identity.

Write a useful voice profile

Describe the brand, not the AI. “Thoughtful, craft-led, editorial” gives more useful direction than “write professionally”. Three or four adjectives plus one sentence about what the copy should avoid is usually a strong starting point.

Examples of voice summaries:

  • Family bakery: “Warm, direct and everyday. Talks about ingredients and craft without marketing clichés.”
  • Accountancy firm: “Calm, precise and trustworthy. Explains things in short sentences without jargon and never promises more than it can deliver.”
  • Design studio: “Confident, restrained and editorial. Focuses on process and care rather than feature lists.”
