Use AI in the editor

Where can AI help in the Demona editor?

AI is available where you're already working. In Demona, it is not a separate tool: it appears throughout the editing workflow, from rewriting a single block to translating an entire page. AI-generated copy follows your website's voice profile, so new text stays closer to the style of the rest of the site.

You can use AI in four main places:

  • on a selected block, with the AI icon beside the block's name in the Block view of the editing panel,
  • across the whole page, with the AI icon in the header of the Page view,
  • between blocks, by asking AI to continue the page,
  • when creating a new page, with an AI-generated draft.

AI on a single block

Select a block and, in the Block view of the editing panel, use the AI icon beside the block's name to open AI suggestions:

  • Rewrite: create a new version of the copy. You can optionally add direction such as “more punchy” or “more technical”.
  • Fill with content: ask AI to write an empty or sample-filled block. Add a short brief, for example “our three plans”.
  • Shorter, Longer, More formal, More casual: quick one-click adjustments.
  • Optimise…: weave a chosen keyword naturally into the copy, for example “Budapest design studio”.
  • Translate…: translate the block's text into another language.
  • Generate ALT text: create descriptive ALT text for images in the block.
  • Replace with another block…: get suggestions for alternative block types that may serve the same purpose better, such as replacing a Rich text block with a Features block.

Accept the result with Apply.

AI across the whole page

In the Page view of the editing panel, the AI icon in the header opens AI page actions, which apply similar changes across the page in one step:

  • Translate page… into another language,
  • Rewrite page… with direction such as “more energetic” or “more B2B-focused”,
  • Shorten all or Lengthen all,
  • Make more formal or Make more casual.

When the action finishes, Demona shows how many blocks were updated. If a block was skipped — for example because it contained no editable text — that is shown too.

Every AI change can be undone. If you do not like the result, press Ctrl+Z or use the Undo arrow in the editing panel header. Even an operation that changes the whole page can be reversed in one step.

Let AI continue the page

Between blocks, beside the “+” button, choose Or let AI continue. You can also use Write the next block with AI at the top of the block picker. Both do the same thing: AI reads the page so far and suggests a few suitable next blocks, already filled with draft copy.

  • Insert suggestions one at a time with Insert, or add all of them with Insert all.
  • If the suggestions are not quite right, use Refine with direction such as “more conversion-focused” or “more visual”, or choose Try different ones.

When creating a new page, AI can also plan the entire page from a short brief. See Create a new page.

More AI help in the editor

  • Image generation: create an image from a written description on the image picker's AI generation tab. See Images and the media library.
  • SEO description: in Page settings, Suggest from page content can write a meta description, and you can also ask for ALT text for the social sharing image. On the Readiness tab, Fix actions use AI for supported issues.

AI credits

AI features use AI credits. If you run out, the editor tells you and lets you top up from the same flow. If credits run out during a whole-page rewrite, completed blocks stay in place. After topping up, use Continue to resume from where the process stopped; already completed blocks are not charged again.
