Testimonials block

What is the Testimonials block for?

Many happy customers at a glance. A Testimonials block shows several customer reviews at once, with names, roles, photos and stars, and a summary line above them such as "4.9 average · 212 reviews". It suits the bottom of the home page or a service page, where visitors decide based on other customers' experience.

You enter the reviews yourself, so you can pick the ones that best show what it is like to work with you. The summary line holds your own figures from wherever your reviews live; it is not worked out from the reviews below.

Ten layouts, the same reviews

You can switch the layout at any time without entering the reviews again. A new block starts as Cards; existing blocks keep their layout.

Moving wall

Columns of reviews drift slowly in opposite directions once there are enough to fill the wall. With fewer reviews it is a still wall.

Card cloud

Slightly tilted cards that straighten on hover; every third one is in the accent colour and the first is larger.

Spotlight

One review in large type at a time; the reviewers' photos below switch between them.

Cards

A grid of cards with stars on top; a reviewer without a photo gets a monogram. Your summary line stands above. Settings: Cards (Raised / Outlined / Tinted), Quote typeface (Display / Text).

One featured

One review large on a coloured card, two beside it; any others follow below. You pick which one under Featured review (the first by default). Settings: Side (Left / Right), Cards.

Rating summary

Your rating set large with its stars and summary line on one side, the reviews listed on the other. Settings: Side (Left / Right), Cards.

Faces

One large quote on a coloured ground; the reviewers' faces below switch between them. Setting: Quote (Italic / Upright).

Masonry wall

Cards of varying height in columns, every review shown in full. Settings: Cards, Short quotes (Larger / Same size).

Photo cards

Each reviewer's photo large with the quote over it. Best when every review has a photo; without one the monogram takes its place. Setting: Photo frame (Portrait / Square / Landscape).

Running rows

Two rows drifting in opposite directions, paused on hover or with the pause button; still with reduced motion. Setting: Speed (Slow / Normal).

Visitors can pause it. The Moving wall and the Running rows have a pause button beside them, and when a visitor moves the mouse over them they stop too, so the reviews can be read in peace. While they are off screen, they do not move at all.

Everyone can read it. If a visitor's device asks for less motion, the Moving wall stands still and scrolls, and the Running rows become a still grid. Screen readers read each review once and announce the stars as a number.

What can you set on a Testimonials block?

Apart from the reviews, every field is optional.

Heading

The heading at the top of the block, such as "What people say about us".

Summary line

A short line with your own figures, such as "4.9 average · 212 reviews", optionally with stars in front.

Reviews

For each review, enter what the customer wrote, their name and, optionally, their role, company or town. Change the order with the arrows.

Stars

One to five stars per review, or none. An AI rewrite never changes the stars.

Photo

The reviewer's photo from the media library. Without a photo, their initials are shown.

Languages

The heading, the summary line and the reviews are written separately for each language.

Layout settings

Each new layout has a few settings of its own, such as the card style, the side or the speed. They stay on the block when you switch layouts.

Featured review and colours

In One featured you choose which review goes on the coloured card. That card and the quote background of Faces are set under Colours: dark, the accent or a custom colour, with a matching text colour.

Let others say it

The best recommendation is what your customers write about you.
