Your website is ready: what can you manage in Demona?

What can you manage from your website's details page in Demona?

From the editor to Demona. In your website editor, you write copy, replace images and build pages. Anything related to running the website — the domain, site type and billing — is managed in Demona, on your website's details page.

Open it from the editor settings: under Go live, click “Continue”. It opens in a new tab and the editor stays open. You can also reach it at any time from Applications in Demona.

If you're still signed in to Demona in your browser, you'll go straight to the details page. If not, you'll arrive there after signing in. Accounts created through the trial do not start with a password: request a sign-in link, or set a password through the forgotten-password flow.

There are two separate sign-ins. Sign in to your Demona account at demona.ai with a password or a sign-in link valid for one day. To enter the website editor, use the “Edit website” button on the details page, or request a 15-minute sign-in link from your website's /login page. See Manage website users for details.

Work in more than one team? The website details page only opens when Demona is currently set to the team that owns the website. If you get a “not found” page, switch teams in the Demona header and open the link again.

What's on the website details page?

Use the tabs at the top to jump between sections.

Overview

See the address, site type, next charge and expiry date. “Edit website” takes you back to the editor with automatic sign-in, while “View website” opens the public site.

Domain

Choose how visitors reach your website: a free subdomain, a newly registered domain or a domain you already own.

Site type

Landing, Website or Portal. The type determines how large a website you can build.

Billing

See what your website costs, when the next charge is due and whether your credit balance covers it. You can also add credits here.

Cancellation and deletion

Cancel or restore renewal, or permanently delete the application.

Domain: give your website its own address

Choose the address visitors should use. These options become available once your website has been created.

Free subdomain

The demona.ai address you received when you started. It works immediately, has no separate fee and you can switch to your own domain later.

Register a new domain

Search for an available name and we'll handle registration and setup, so you do not need to configure DNS yourself. On monthly and annual billing alike, Landing includes a 1,800-credit allowance, Website a 2,000-credit allowance and Portal a 3,500-credit allowance toward the first year of a new domain. Many common extensions can fit within these allowances, including .com, .hu, .net, .org, .dev, .app, .online, .site, .agency, .studio and .digital. Exact price, availability and standard/premium status are shown during the search; if the domain costs more than the allowance, Demona shows the difference before you decide.

Connect a domain you already own →

If you already have a domain, add a few DNS records: a TXT record to verify ownership, CNAME records for SSL and records that route traffic to the site. Open the step-by-step guide for the full process.

A trial site is open from the first minute. Visitors can already open it on its demona.ai working address, so you can send it to anyone. Search engines only index it after go-live.

Going live is a single wizard: you choose the address (connect your own domain, buy a new one, or keep the current address), pay for the subscription, and confirm that you have reviewed the content the AI wrote. That ends the trial and publishes your website, which lets search engines in: the noindex signal is lifted, and robots.txt, the sitemap and llms.txt open up. If you already pay for the website but have not published it yet, you can take it live from the details page. All your content stays exactly where it is — nothing is rebuilt. If this also moves you to a different plan, you only pay the difference for the remaining days in the current billing period.

For a domain you already own, we check the DNS records every few minutes in the background and let you know when the domain is live. If a required record later goes missing, you'll see a “DNS error” warning on the details page.

Site type: how large a website can you build?

There are three site types, from smaller to larger: Landing, Website and Portal. The Site type section on the details page shows which upgrades are available.

When you upgrade, the difference for the remaining days in the current billing period is deducted from your credit balance. The new recurring price applies from the next renewal. Before confirming, you'll see exactly how much is due now and what will remain in your balance.

You can only move to a larger site type, not back to a smaller one — the smaller type may not support everything you've already built. You can only change site type while the subscription is active and renewing.

Credits, charges and renewals

Your website fee is deducted from your team's credit balance at renewal. In the Billing section you can see what makes up the fee, when the next charge is due and whether your balance covers it. If it does not, a notice appears at the top of the details page and tells you when to top up by.

Use Add credits to choose the missing amount, the equivalent of 1 month, 3 months or 1 year, or enter a custom amount. You can also add a coupon code. Payment is made securely by bank card through Stripe; the first time, you'll need to enter your billing details. After payment, you'll return to the details page and the new balance should appear within a few seconds.

The same balance is also used by AI features in the editor, such as rewriting copy, translation and image generation.

What happens if you cancel?

Nothing disappears overnight — you have time to change your mind.

  1. You cancel renewal

Your website keeps working until the end of the paid period. You can switch renewal back on for free until then.

  2. The paid period ends

The website remains available for another 3 days.

  3. The website is paused

You can reactivate it at any time for 30 days, with the content left intact.

  4. Permanent deletion

After those 30 days, the website and its content are deleted. The same process applies if there are not enough credits at renewal.

Your content is yours — you can export it at any time

You're not locked in. In the website editor, go to Settings → System → Export to download the full content of your website in one click: pages, news, events and received messages in every language, plus uploaded images and files at their original size.

The archive is prepared in the background and the download link is sent by email. It's worth saving a copy before cancelling, too. Passwords and secret keys are never included.

GETTING STARTED
