Spacer block

What is the Spacer block for?

Empty space is part of the design too. Spacer adds vertical breathing room between two pieces of content without showing any visible element. It comes in four sizes: Small, Medium, Large and Extra large, each scaling up proportionally on larger screens.

Use it when you want a deliberate rhythm or a stronger section break. If only one block feels too cramped, first adjust that block's own outer or inner spacing.

Four sizes in practice

Small: a subtle adjustment between nearby elements. Roughly 2 rem on mobile and 3 rem on larger screens.

Medium: general breathing room between sections. Roughly 4 rem on mobile and 6 rem on larger screens.

Large: a clearly noticeable structural pause between content groups. Roughly 6 rem on mobile and 10 rem on larger screens.

Extra large: creates a strong, deliberate section change even without a line or new background. Roughly 10 rem on mobile and 16 rem on larger screens.

Do not use Spacer as layout repair tape. If you need one between every other block, the structure or the blocks' own spacing probably needs attention instead. A separate Spacer makes sense when the empty space itself is an intentional structural decision.

What can you configure in the Spacer block?

There is one main decision: how much empty space you need. Each size scales proportionally between mobile and larger screens.

Small

A subtle adjustment between nearby elements. About 2 rem on mobile and 3 rem on larger screens.

Medium

General space between sections. About 4 rem on mobile and 6 rem on larger screens.

Large

A clearly visible structural pause. About 6 rem on mobile and 10 rem on larger screens.

Extra large

A strong section break. About 10 rem on mobile and 16 rem on larger screens.

SPACE IS PART OF THE EDIT

You do not always need another element. Sometimes you just need more room.

Use enough space to improve the rhythm — but not so much that the page starts to feel disconnected.
