Map embed block

What is the Map embed block for?

Do more than publish an address. Help people actually find the place. A Map embed block is useful when the physical location is part of the visitor's decision: a shop, clinic, office, accommodation or event venue.

In the editor, you can enter an address and let Demona create a Google Maps embed, or paste a supported Google Maps or OpenStreetMap embed URL directly.

Keep the exact address as normal text on the page too. The map should help with orientation, not replace the address itself.

Live example: a medium-height map. On your own site, enter the real address or a supported embed URL.

Live example: a small map. Useful as a quick visual reference beside a short contact section.

Live example: a tall map. Choose this when the surrounding area and route are an important part of the page.

Which map height should you choose?

Match the height to how important the location itself is on the page.

Small

Useful beside a short contact section or near the footer, where the map only needs to provide quick visual orientation.

Medium

A good default for most contact and location pages. Large enough to orient visitors without dominating the page.

Tall

Use it when the neighbourhood, route or venue itself is an important part of the page.

Put everything visitors need for arrival around the map

  • Exact address: include the street and number as normal text too.
  • Entrance: add a short note if it is not obvious.
  • Parking or public transport: include only genuinely useful details.
  • Opening hours or appointment time: add them when they matter for arrival.
  • Caption: use it when the map needs a little extra context.

What can you configure in the Map embed block?

The block is simple, but the important presentation choices are still under your control.

Map source

Generate a Google Maps embed from an address, or use a supported Google Maps or OpenStreetMap embed URL.

Height

Choose small, medium or tall depending on how much space the map should have.

Caption

Add brief context below the map, such as entrance details or a note about the building.

Content width

Choose Reading, Wide or Full. The block defaults to Wide.

Background and section width

Place the map on its own surface or in a broader band that fits the rhythm of the surrounding page.

Anchor and visibility

Add a direct jump target and, when needed, device- or time-based visibility rules.

HELP PEOPLE FIND THE PLACE

A map works best when it makes arrival easier, not when it stands alone.

Pair it with the exact address and any short instructions people genuinely need when they get there.
