Contact form block

What is the Contact form block for?

Do not ask for more fields. Give visitors a better next step. The Contact form block collects the information you genuinely need to respond, starting with name, email and message plus optional fields when they add real value.

A good form is short, clear and tells visitors what to expect before they submit it.

Submissions enter a real workflow. Demona always stores them with the website, and if you turn on “Send to Demona” in the editor, they also appear in Demona as sales opportunities. The two forms on this page are demos with “Send to Demona” switched off, so feel free to try them with made-up details.

Ask only for what you need

  • Name and email: a good starting point for most enquiries.
  • Subject: useful when you receive several different types of enquiry.
  • Company: can add useful context for B2B enquiries.
  • Phone: ask for it only when you will genuinely use it.
  • Message: tell visitors what information would help you respond faster.

Do not leave uncertainty after submission either

The success message should confirm that the message arrived and, when you know it, explain what happens next. Privacy copy and consent should match your actual data-handling practice.

What can you configure in the Contact form block?

Alongside the core fields, enable only what your own response process genuinely needs, then choose how it looks.

Optional fields

Phone, company and subject can be enabled separately. Name, email and message form the core of the form.

Custom labels

Edit field labels, button text, success message and supporting copy.

Privacy consent

Configure a required checkbox, your own consent wording and a separate privacy-policy link.

Three layouts

Classic, Card or Split. A new form starts as Card. In Classic you can still choose a Plain, Bordered or Filled style.

Field style

In Card and Split: Standard (boxed fields with the label above) or Editorial (large type on a single line, the label in small capitals).

Contact details beside the form

The Split panel shows the phone, email and address from Settings → Contact and the hours from the footer. You choose which ones appear, and whether the form sits on the right or the left.

Panel and box colours

In the Colours group: the panel can be Accent, Dark or Custom, the card or form box Default, Dark, Accent or Custom. The text colour follows automatically, and you can override it.

Button colours

Set the submit button background and text colours independently.

Send to Demona

Enable it separately in the editor. Local storage remains in place either way; forwarding to Demona is an additional step.

Three layouts

At the top of the panel, Layout decides how the form is shown. Fields, labels and settings are kept when you switch.

  • Classic: the fields straight on the page, as forms have always looked here. This is where you pick the form style: Plain, Bordered or Filled.
  • Card: the form on a raised, rounded card with larger fields. A newly inserted Contact form starts in this layout.
  • Split: the heading, subheading and your contact details on a coloured panel, with the form beside it.

In Card and Split you can also choose the Field style: Standard (boxed fields with the label above) or Editorial (large type on a single line, the label in small capitals). Forms you built earlier stay Classic, unchanged.

Card layout

Standard field style, with a subject field. A demo form: try it with made-up details.

Split layout

With the Editorial field style. The panel takes your contact details from Settings → Contact (phone, email, address) and the opening hours from the footer. Anything not filled in there is left out, which is why only the email address shows on this page. On a wide screen the form can sit on the right or the left; on a phone the panel is always on top.

FEWER FIELDS, CLEARER DECISION

A good form makes both the request and the next step obvious.

Keep the field list short, use specific button copy, and test the submission, success message and privacy flow end to end.
