Manage pages, news and events

Where can you see all pages, news and events?

Use the content lists for an overview of everything on the website. In the editor you work on one item at a time. To see what else exists, which items are drafts or scheduled, or to tidy up several news items quickly, open the lists under Settings → Content: Pages, News and Events.

From these lists you can create, publish, move to draft and delete content. The actual copy and blocks are still edited on the page itself: Edit opens the item in the editor.

Statuses

Each row shows the content status:

  • Draft: visitors cannot see it; it is only available while signed in.
  • Scheduled: the publication date is in the future. The item becomes public automatically when that time arrives.
  • Published: visitors can access it.

In the Pages list, the homepage is marked Homepage. News and Events mark featured items as Featured. Events also show when an event is Past or Has no date yet.

What can you do from the list?

  • New page, New news item, New event: create a new item and open it in the editor.
  • Edit: open the item in the editor.
  • Duplicate: make a copy of the item with all its blocks, as a draft, so you can adapt it before anyone sees it.
  • Publish: make a draft public immediately.
  • Move to draft: take published content offline without deleting it. Visitors can no longer access the URL, but the content remains and can be republished later.
  • Delete: permanently remove the item and all its blocks. The homepage cannot be deleted.

The row actions are compact icon buttons at the end of each row. In the News and Events lists, you can also change the category directly on each row. URL settings lets you change the shared URL prefix for news or events.

In the Pages list, click the Published column heading to sort by publication date. Longer lists are paginated.

Schedule in the editor; duplicate from either place. From the list, you can publish immediately. To schedule a news item for later, open it and set a future date on the Publication tab. The list's Duplicate button makes a copy of the same type. To copy an item as another type, for example to turn a news item into an event, use Make a copy… in the ⋯ menu of the editing panel.

Draft, unpublish or delete?

  • If content is not ready yet, keep it as a draft.
  • If you want to hide it temporarily, for example a seasonal offer, move it back to draft. You can publish it again next year.
  • If it is gone for good, delete it. If the old URL has already been shared elsewhere, add a redirect to a relevant replacement so those links do not end on a 404 page.
