Flipbooks: Issuu and your own PDFs

Two sources, one publication block

The same publication block supports both Issuu publications and flipbooks made from your own PDFs with Demona Flipbooks. If your publication is already on Issuu, paste its URL or embed code into the block.

If you have your own PDF, first turn it into a flipbook with Demona Flipbooks. Then copy the finished publication's viewer URL or iframe embed code into the Flipbook (Issuu) block's source field. It recognises both providers; you do not need a separate Custom code (HTML) block.

Live example: Issuu

If your publication is already on Issuu, you can display it directly on your site using the Flipbook (Issuu) block, as in this example:

An Issuu publication embedded on your page

This is the easiest option if your catalogue or magazine is already on Issuu. Paste its publication URL instead of writing an iframe by hand.

Have your own PDF? You don't need to upload it to Issuu first. Demona Flipbooks creates a page-turning digital publication from an uploaded PDF.

Which option is right for you?

Both options let visitors browse a publication on your website. The best starting point depends on where your content is hosted.

Already on Issuu

Use the Flipbook (Issuu) block. Paste the normal publication URL or Issuu's embed code.

Starting with your own PDF

Upload the PDF to Demona Flipbooks, let it process, then copy the finished publication's embed code.

Embedding with Issuu

The block supports a title, description, single- or double-page viewing and an optional call-to-action button.

Embedding with Demona Flipbooks

Create a flipbook from your own PDF without needing an Issuu account.

How to add a publication

If you use Issuu

  1. Open your publication on Issuu.
  2. Copy its URL or choose Share → Embed to get the iframe code.
  3. Add the Flipbook (Issuu) block in the website editor and paste the URL or embed code into its source field.
  4. Under Viewer shape, choose One page or Two pages.

If you have your own PDF

  1. Open Demona Flipbooks.
  2. Upload the PDF and create its page-turning version.
  3. Copy the finished flipbook's viewer URL or iframe embed code.
  4. Paste the URL or code into the source field of the same publication block in the website editor. You do not need a separate Custom code (HTML) block.

When is it useful?

Display product catalogues, magazines, brochures, portfolios and other multi-page publications directly on your site. If visitors only need to download a file, use the File download block instead.
